Bangladesh logs 114 Covid deaths in 24 hrs

Bangladesh reported 114 deaths from coronavirus in the last 24 hours, climbing the national toll to 25,513 across the country so far. Besides, 5,249 new cases were reported during the same period. With this, the total number of infections stood at 14,72,964 in the country.
A press release of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) revealed the development on Tuesday (August 24). Alongside, as many as 8, 907 Covid-19 patients made recoveries in the last 24 hours, bringing the total recoveries to 13, 81,763 the release said.
