218 Covid deaths recorded in 24 hours

Bangladesh has recorded 218 novel coronavirus (COVID-19) deaths and 9,369 positive cases in the past 24 hours, the highest number in a single day, said Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) in its routine daily statement on Friday.
The official tally showed the virus killed 20,685 people and infected 12,49,484 so far, it added. The current positivity rate is 30.24 percent. A total of 30,980 samples were tested across the country in 24 hours.
