UNO provided food assistance in Kalapara

Kalapara (Patuakhali) Representative: Workers and low-income people in Kalapara of Patuakhali are facing food crisis due to the ongoing severe lockdown to prevent coronavirus infection. There are not many activities. As much as there was savings, it has reached the end stage. Low and middle income people are worried about how to spend the day in the future.

In such a situation, Upazila Nirbahi Officer Abu Hasnat Mohammad Shahidul Haque got food assistance to 6 helpless distressed families by calling 333. Besides, the upazila administration distributed food items to 64 more helpless families around 12 noon on Tuesday. Each was given five kg of rice, one kg of oil, one kg of pulses, one kg of sugar and one kg of salt. Upazila Project Officer Md. Humayun Kabir was present at the time, Upazila CPP Officer Md. Asaduzzaman etc.

Upazila Nirbahi Officer Abu Hasnat Mohammad Shahidul Haque said food aid has been provided to 64 helpless families. He also told reporters that the arrest is continuing.
