Fine on second day of lockdown in Amtali

Mainul Islam Raju, Amtali (Barguna) Representative: On the second day of a seven-day severe lockdown to prevent the spread of the corona virus by the government, the movement of people in different parts of the upazila, including the Amtali municipal town of Barguna, was a bit higher this morning. In order to implement the lockdown, the executive magistrates are operating mobile courts in several areas of the upazila including the municipality to increase the awareness of the people.

On the other hand, 22 mobile courts were set up in the upazila from morning to evening for unwarranted horse riding outside the house without any reason and without wearing a mask during the lockdown. Meanwhile, a mobile court has fined 22 people Tk 10,420. Masks were also distributed among hundreds of people by making them aware.

Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md. Asaduzzaman said on his mobile phone that the upazila administration and law enforcement agencies are working in the field to comply with the strict lockdown announced by the government to prevent the spread of corona virus. The administration is being strict against those who do not follow the lockdown. A total of 10 people have been fined a total of Tk 10,420 by conducting a mobile court in the upazila under the leadership of me and the Assistant Commissioner (Land) from morning to evening today (Friday) to persuade the public to lockdown.
