Dry weather likely; Rain to occur at Sylhet, M’singh

The weather may remain mainly dry with a temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country in the next 24 hours ending tomorrow at 9:00 am.
Besides, rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur at one or two places over Sylhet and Mymensingh divisions.
The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) forecasted this in a weather bulletin issued on Wednesday.
The BMD office weather forecast says mild to a moderate heat wave is sweeping over Rajshahi and Khulna divisions and the regions of Dhaka, Tangail, Faridpur, Rangamati, Dinajpur, Nilphamari, Panchagarh and Patuakhali and it may continue.
Besides, day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country during the period.
A trough of westerly low has lied over West Bengal and adjoining area. So, the seasonal low has lied over South Bay.
“Rain or Thundershowers activity is likely,” the country’s Met Office forecasted for the next 72 hours.
The country’s maximum temperature recorded 39.6°C yesterday at Rajshahi district while today’s minimum temperature recorded 21.0°C at Tetulia in the Rangpur division.
Today’s sunset will be at 6:19 pm and tomorrow’s sunrise will be at 5:38 am.
