Global Covid-19 cases surge by around 1.5 lakh; death toll nears 4 lakh

Coronavirus cases saw a big jump in the past 24 hours till 10am on Saturday as around 1.5 lakh cases were reported around the world during the period. In total, confirmed coronavirus cases have reached 6,850,236 globally, including 147,574 during the period, according to Worldometer. Besides, the global death toll from coronavirus has reached 398,244.
Of the currently infected 3,100,763 patients, 3,047,147 are in mild condition while 53,616 are in serious or critical condition. So far, 3,351,229 people have made recovery from the disease in different countries.
Coronavirus has affected 213 countries and territories around the world and two international conveyances. The World Health Organization (WHO) on March 11 declared the coronavirus crisis a pandemic. Bangladesh has so far confirmed 60,391 coronavirus cases and 811 deaths.
