18 of a family test positive in Fatullah

Eighteen members of the family of a medical officer at Narayanganj civil surgeon’s office have tested positive for coronavirus in Fatullah. Meanwhile, locals allegedly threw brick chips at the house on Tuesday evening in a bid to drive them away from the locality. However, Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) of Sadar Nahida Barik went to the spot and brought the situation under control.

The medical officer on Tuesday evening said all the affected members of her family were receiving treatment staying at home. She said there is no scope for coronavirus to spread if the house inmates do not go outside. Meanwhile, the UNO with the help of Bangladesh Army went to the spot, brought the situation under control and put the house under lockdown.

She also urged the locals to stay at their respective houses. Officer-in-charge of Fatullah Model Police Station M Aslam Hossain said police went to spot and the situation remains under control now.
