Irrfan Khan: A Bollywood trailblazer whose last wish unfulfilled

Irrfan Khan, an extraordinary Bollywood actor, died on Wednesday, aged only at 54. The Bollywood trailblazer’s last wish was “to see the last smile of his lovely mother”. But he left the world before this, regretting that his last wish was not fulfilled. He died at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai in the morning. There he was admitted to the ICU with a colon infection problem on Tuesday. Last week, his mother Saida Begum breathed her last at her residence at Jaipur in India.

It was learned that he could not attend his mother’s funeral due to his illness. He has been battling the brain tumor for several years. After recovering, he also made a comeback in the movie ‘Angrezi Medium’. But he was rushed to hospital on Tuesday with a colon infection. Lying in the hospital bed, Irfan also regretted not seeing his mother.

In February 2018, Irfan Khan was diagnosed with a neuroendocrine tumor. After that, the actor was treated in London for a long time. He returned to India in April last year.
