BNP angry for govt’s hard work against coronavirus

Commenting on BNP’s anger due to the government’s working day and night to tackle the coronavirus crisis, Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said that the BNP has started the politics of old grievances. He said this at a press briefing at his official residence on Sunday. Obaidul Quader said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina sees potential in this crisis as well. “her honesty and courage are the main source of strength.”
Referring to the BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir’s allegation that the government is trying to hide information, Awami League General Secretary said, “He should have mentioned what information has been hiding.”The coronavirus crisis is a global catastrophe, there is no point in hiding information. It is ridiculous to hide information in today’s world, he also said. Calling on the BNP to engage in positive politics in this crisis, Obaidul Quader said, “Avoid rumor-based and negative politics. The people of the country do not like negative politics.”
He also thanked those who bravely risked their lives to fight against the deadly pandemic coronavirus. The Road Transport and Bridges Minister said that there is a class of profiteers and hoarders in the month of Ramadan and they want to destabilize the market. The government will take strict action against them. Those who hoarding goods to sell at higher prices will not be exempted, he added.
