Govt extends holiday till April 25

The government on Friday extended the on-going holiday till April 25 considering the coronavirus situation across the country, the public administration ministry in a circular said. The public administration ministry declared April 15, 16, and 19-23 general holiday, while April 17, 18, 24 and 25 would be weekends.
According to the directives, during the holiday, none would be allowed to leave home after 6:00pm and movement among areas would be restricted, among others. Kitchen markets, food shops, pharmacies, newspapers, hospitals and all emergency services will remain out of the purview of the general holidays.
Earlier, the holiday was from March 26-April 4 which was extended to April 11. The holiday later included the next two days and government holiday on April 14 for Bengali New Year.
