The general holiday has been announced from March 29 to April 2 to prevent the spread of the coronavirus infection. Cabinet Secretary, Maulana Anwarul Islam, informed this information at an emergency press conference in the Secretariat on Monday afternoon. The press conference was attended by the Secretaries of various ministries including The Prime Minister’s Office Chief Secretary Dr. Ahmed Kaikaus. Government offices across the country will remain closed from March 26, mainly due to the Independence Day public holiday on March 26 and the weekend on March 27 and 28. Besides, government offices will be open from April 5, with weekends on April 3 and 4.
