Bangladesh and Pakistan have postponed a Test match and a one-day international that had been due to take place in Karachi next month. The sides were scheduled to complete the Test series they started in February, with the second match set to start on Apr 5. The lone ODI between the sides has also been called off, Bangladesh Cricket Board said an email on Monday.

“The Pakistan and Bangladesh cricket boards have decided to postpone the upcoming One-Day International and Test in Karachi for a later date,” the PCB said in a statement, report Abu Dhabi-based English daily The National .
“The two boards will now work together to identify a future opportunity to complete the ICC World Test Championship commitment. “The Bangladesh men’s national cricket team was due to arrive in Karachi on Mar 29 to play an ODI on April 1 and the second ICC World Test Championship Test from Apr 5-9.

“Meanwhile, the PCB has also indefinitely postponed the Pakistan Cup one-day tournament, which was scheduled to start from Mar 25.” The final phase of the Pakistan Super League is still scheduled to go ahead as planned, albeit with a slightly altered schedule, as a response to the coronavirus outbreak. There will be a double-header of semi-finals in Lahore on Tuesday. The final will take place a day later.
